First off, I LOVE how you've drawn this piece on wood. The brushstrokes are smooth, the color is blended sweetly, and you can see the texture in the whole piece vividly. The moonlit scene looks so cozy; you just want to lay your head down and sleep. Interestingly, the lamp light is not as bright as the strong whites of the stars outside the window, and I think that's a splendid detail. The teamwork of the light and shadow is top-notch. Seriously, it's in every corner of this picture, and for that, BRAVO!
Spike's thoughtful gesture is very kind. So many times we've watched Twilight tuck him in to bed. Here, he's returing the favor with the same affection we see when Twilight does it for him. Spike truly is a faithful friend.
Throughout the series we can tell how much Twilight means to Spike and that he'll follow her everywhere, keeping by her side as the faithful friend he is. Always there to lend a helping hand (or claw), Spike shows how wonderful it is to have companions. They can be there to lend assistance, to give hope when you are down, maybe even save your life. The relationship between this pony and dragon is a wonderful thing, and I hope to see more of it in Season 4. Meanwhile, I take delight in viewing these characters in art, and let me say, artwork like this means just as much as what I see on the show. Thank you very much.
